Falconry is hunting with birds of prey. If you are not interested in hunting quarry, then falconry is not for you. To explore an interest in raptors without hunting, we encourage you to find a rehab or educational raptor center near you.

The workshop is an informal classroom setting where experienced falconers will explain various aspects of falconry in Ontario in an information-gathering session, designed for those considering pursuing the sport in the future. The session will include a presentation and opportunities for questions and discussion, covering topics such as what falconry really is and licensing requirements in Ontario.

This workshop does NOT provide any certification or license. It is purely educational to help you understand the sport and what your next steps might be.

Please note: Participants will not be handling any live birds during the workshop, although birds may be present for demonstration purposes.
